University Guidance

With over 13 years of experience guiding high school students, I have dedicated my career to helping families make informed choices about their children’s future pathways. I have seen firsthand how overwhelmed some families feel, not only because of the academic demands, time pressures and competitiveness of the admissions process, but also by the saturation of advice, opinions and services in the market, making it hard

to determine what truly serves a student’s best interests.

My role is to help students and parents cut through this noise, tune out unnecessary pressure and focus on what truly matters for their unique path. With so many sources of advice, it is easy to lose sight of the essentials. I work to create a space to pause, make sense of the landscape  and move forward with clarity and purpose.

As a university guidance counselor at an international school, I often see students become confused when they unintentionally mix and match requirements from different education systems. Each country evaluates applications differently and strategies that work in one system may not directly apply in another. Without the right guidance, students can invest significant time and energy in efforts that do not actually support their goals.

That is where my work comes in.

With experience as both a school-based counselor and a former US university admissions representative, I offer a perspective that is both student-centered and strategic. I have supported students through every stage of the application process and read hundreds of applications myself. I also understand how key school documents such as transcripts, recommendations, predicted grades and school related forms shape the overall narrative of a student’s application.

When families seek additional support, my goal is to complement the work their school is already doing. I offer honest insight, a fresh perspective, and a calm, clear space to think through important decisions.

Wherever you are in the process, I can help you move forward with confidence, authenticity, and intention.

How I can support students and families:

 Explore higher education options
I help students identify programs, countries, and systems that align with their interests and goals.

 Build a balanced list
I guide students in creating a balanced university list that reflects both ambition and fit.

Plan a clear timeline
I co-create an application plan that works with the student’s academic rhythm, commitments and their school's timeline.

  Develop extracurriculars
I guide students in identifying and building meaningful activities that authentically highlight their interests and passions.

 Guide essays and personal  statements
I support the process from brainstorming to final edits, either directly or in collaboration with a writing specialist.

 Highlight authentic voice
I help students express themselves genuinely while showcasing qualities admissions teams value.

 Clarify evaluation criteria
I explain how applications are assessed across different countries and systems.

 Prepare for interviews
I provide preparation and guidance for admissions conversations.

Review applications
I carefully check portals, forms, and supporting documents for accuracy and authenticity.

 Discuss outcomes
I guide families through offers, waitlists, scholarships, and final choices.

…and more, depending on each student’s individual needs.
